Meet your therapist.
Hi, I’m Yosra.
I am a trauma-informed therapist specializing in neurodivergent-affirming care.
I have worked in the mental health field for over 8 years, utilizing somatic and mindfulness-based approaches. Before my career in therapy I taught yoga and mindful movement, which continue to influence my work today.
I was born in Bahrain and immigrated to Canada as a child, growing up between two cultures.
This experience has shaped my understanding of the unique challenges many children of immigrants face, which informs my approach to therapy— creating a space that honours all identities and backgrounds.
My therapeutic approach is rooted in somatics and mindfulness, guiding clients to connect with and understand their bodies and emotions through a holistic lens. Together, we’ll explore what you’re experiencing in the present, using the body’s innate wisdom as a powerful tool for healing and growth.
Specialization
I specialize in working with neurodivergent individuals, including those with ADHD, Autism, OCD, or have not been formally diagnosed. I work with folks 18 and older, supporting them in understanding their unique strengths and challenges while honouring and affirming these identities.
In my practice, I combine mindfulness-based techniques, EMDR, and traditional talk therapy to help clients process trauma, build resilience, and foster personal growth.
